Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso. The CEO of a UK-based company needed to travel to Burkina Faso for meetings. Given the volatile and unpredictable security environment, the company asked us to develop a travel risk management plan.
After assessing the area of operation, the current threat picture and the nature of the client's business, we deployed a security specialist with extensive West Africa experience to travel ahead of the client and manage every security aspect of the trip.
Arriving two days early, our specialist carried out route and venue reconnaissance, met airport personnel to arrange expedited arrival and departure, and vetted drivers and vehicles in person. Once the client arrived, he worked alongside him as his close protection officer.
The client attended his meetings with confidence, able to focus on business rather than security, and returned safely to the UK without incident.
